Tamaki College PE Sessions
Boom! boom! boom! all I could hear was my heart beating, so fast I couldn’t even feel myself think. I was really anxious because we were at Tamaki College for PE sessions on Wednesday the 27th of March. The environment was so cheerful everyone so ecstatic.
The sound of a basketball reverberated all over the indoor basketball court, that was all I could hear. Mr Magwick was the man behind all of this. Even though he was injured, that didn’t stop him from being there.
When we met our instructors we were all curious as to what their names were. Then when they started talking they said “Hi my name is Bobby and his name is....” said Bobby ever so keen. “Tevita” Tevita said so quietly we knew he was really shy. The high light warriors we named ourselves and we were so loud. There was a group playing Pukana and we were trying to be louder than that group. At our different rotations we worked well as a team and learnt valuable skills through little games planned for us by Bobby and Tevita our coaches. It was an hour of learning through fun. We developed P.E. skills and some fitness. When We went into the hall we marched in saying “Left! Right! Left! Right!” we stopped and we sat down. Gemima stood up, there was a hush as she said “On behalf of room 10 we would like to thank you for teaching us some valuable PE skills”. I can’t wait for our next session at Tamaki College.

Water Fun Day
Tuesday 20th February 2013
Kauri (Green house) from Glenbrae school wins the water battle all the hard work payed off. It was so close Nikau (Blue house) was not far off from the green, but the green won everyone cheering for the winners. The group that came third was Kawhai (Yellow house) and Rata (Red house) came last but the are no winners or losers.
Before we started we marched around the court with a banner on the banner were the coloures of our houses. we all chanted well we marched it was very exciting.
There were six different activities that everyone had to participate in. It was so exciting everyone running from left to right un and down side to side. Every one looked like they had a great time and that was the end of that.

Prize giving
It was a warm and breezy Tuesday morning when Glenbrae School had their very special prize giving assembly. All of the students lined up in a straight line and waited till they could go into the hall. Finally we could go in after we sat down about five minutes later the assembly had started. First we sang a song called Ate ha Mori ora that last for 3 minutes and then we sat. Everyone staring at Miss Elia as she says, "Room7 will be the first class for the awards" All of the students in Room7 looking around. "This award is for Danielle Mailata Top Acadimic girl" Miss says clearly and I pause and then walk to the stage.
